I wish phone cameras could capture stars,
And nighttimes could last longer,
I wish that feelings weren’t so low sometimes,
and absence didn’t make the heart grow fonder.
I wish that tell-offs were replaced with lullabies,
A sweet refrain of it’s ok, you’re ok,
I wish that fine could tell someone everything,
I wish that words were easier to say.
I wish for so much - too much,
It may seem frivolous to most,
Why wish for a nice face,
When she’s only going to cut off her nose?
And I promise I’m not this selfish,
I just feel rather alone some hours,
Even though I know I’m not,
And this isolation is only clouds.
I just wish that texts could show smiles,
And places weren’t so far,
But most of all, in this quiet moment of night,
I wish that phone cameras could capture stars.
